Book Summary of Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire

The fourth book in this award-winning and phenomenally bestselling series, rejacketed in a stylish new livery. When the Quidditch World Cup is disrupted by Voldemort's rampaging supporters and the terrifying Dark Mark is resurrected, it is obvious to Harry that, far from failing, Voldemort is getting stronger. The ultimate symbol to the magic world of the evil Lord's return would be if the one and only survivor of his death curse, Harry Potter, could finally be beaten. So when Harry is entered for the Triwizard Tournament - a competition between three wizarding schools to find the ultimate magician - he knows that rather than win it, he just has to get through the trials alive.

About The Author
J.K. (Joanne Kathleen) Rowling has written fiction since she was a child. Born in 1965, she grew up in Chepstow and wrote her first 'book' at the age of six. The idea for Harry Potter occurred to her on a train from Manchester to London, where she says Harry Potter 'just strolled into my head fully formed', and by the time she had arrived at King's Cross, many of the characters had taken shape. During the next five years she outlined the plots for each book and began writing the first in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was published by Bloomsbury in 1997.

So after suffering through the first three books of this series, I vowed never to carry on and finish it. That is, until I was at a party and two of my friends gave the Harry Potter saga such a ringing endorsement that I was convinced I was missing out. I picked up the fourth book and was determi...

Mohammed September 07, 2011 review from Goodreads

This book, in my opinion, is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best one of the first four books. I loved how the author established the environment in the first book, and I absolutely enjoyed how she established the characters of the story in the second and third books. But this one is just differ...

So I reread this book once again and decided that I still love it.I adore this book. It's probably one of my favourite in the series. It's funny in parts, full of action and when it gets to the climax. The climax of the book is enough to blow folks' head off.Yes, it's a long heavy book, but I don't...
