My son brought this home from the school library today. Possibly the worst children's book ever written. Creepy and weird story with creepy illustrations. How in the world does a book like this get published? PS -- My boys loved it.

Laura August 05, 2009 review from Goodreads

Cute! Could be a discussion starter for older kids about which animals have belly buttons and why/why not. Cady just likes all the animals and the belly buttons.

Brenna January 12, 2012 review from Goodreads

What??? I didn't get this story at all and I found it a little creepy...There was no point to the ending and it felt a little pedophilic!

Library May 30, 2012 review from Goodreads

The little boy asks a variety of animals if they have seen his lost belly button. Each has only their own, until he meets the crocodile ...! Expressive illustrations and a fun story - not 100% happy with the ending though.
